SCENE 01 / 03 — THE MISSION

Every great system deserves a great map.

Basalt started with a whiteboard photo nobody could read. A plant went down, the only architecture diagram lived in someone’s camera roll, and the fix took four hours longer than it should have.

So we built the tool we wished existed: describe a system in plain language, get a standards-correct diagram in seconds — and keep it as solid as the rock we named ourselves after.
